Beetle Control in Spring
Family-Owned Since 2015. 35 Years of Combined Experience.
Greenforce Pest Solutions applies a property-wide 10-step process to the entry points and habitats used by carpet beetles, powderpost beetles, and pantry beetles. Our technicians inspect before treating, then customize each service according to the beetle species, activity level, property layout, and environmental conditions.
Our company was founded in 2015 by five brothers born and raised in Spring. We bring more than 35 years of combined pest control experience to residential and commercial properties throughout the Greater Houston Area, including a working knowledge of how the region’s warm, humid climate drives year-round pest activity. Our bilingual team serves both English and Spanish-speaking property owners, and same-day scheduling and emergency service are available when staffing allows.

A 10-Step Process Built Around Beetle Habitats
Customer reviews consistently note that our technicians spend more time inspecting properties than competitors do, explaining their findings before applying any treatments. For beetle activity, that inspection covers dark corners, storage areas, air ducts, attics, garages, wall voids, moisture-prone spaces, and openings around the structure.
Our process addresses beetle pressure from multiple directions:
- Interior hot spots: We focus treatment on the areas where beetles or larvae are active, including storage spaces and other undisturbed locations.
- Structural entry points: We treat weep holes and inspect gaps around foundations, eaves, doors, windows, vents, and utility penetrations.
- Exterior areas: Yard granulation and power spraying around the foundation form part of our broader property treatment.
- Attics and garages: We evaluate these spaces for activity and include attic treatment, garage treatment, or glue board placement when appropriate.
Our Integrated Pest Management approach combines inspection, habitat modification, exclusion, and targeted product applications. Interior applications use organic products designed for use around children and pets, while exterior work strategically combines organic and conventional methods.

Common Beetles Found in Spring Homes and Businesses
Identifying the beetle matters because different species target different materials. A treatment aimed at a pantry shelf won’t address larvae developing inside wood or feeding on natural fibers in a closet.
Carpet Beetles
Carpet beetle larvae feed on wool, fur, feathers, hair, silk, and other natural-fiber materials. They tend to develop in dark, undisturbed areas such as closets, attics, along baseboards, or beneath furniture, while adults often gather near windows and doors, drawn to light.
Powderpost Beetles
Powderpost beetle larvae tunnel through hardwood, including oak flooring, trim, and furniture. The most common evidence is tiny round exit holes and fine, powder-like frass left behind by feeding larvae. Because activity can stay concealed inside the wood, we examine the damaged material and surrounding conditions before recommending treatment.
Cigarette and Drugstore Beetles
Cigarette and drugstore beetles are stored-product pests that infest flour, grain, spices, nuts, and other dried goods. Activity may appear inside packages, along pantry shelving, or around nearby windows after adults emerge.
How Our Beetle Treatment Process Works
We begin with a comprehensive inspection covering activity sites, possible entry points, moisture-prone areas, and materials that could support larval development. Beetles pass through egg, larva, pupa, and adult stages, and larvae typically cause the most damage to fabrics, wood, and stored food.
Treatment recommendations may include:
- Exterior perimeter treatment: Applying products around foundations, eaves, entry points, and selected yard areas based on the property assessment.
- Interior treatment: Targeting confirmed hot spots rather than treating unaffected areas.
- Exclusion and sealing: Identifying cracks, damaged screens, attic vents, and gaps around doors, windows, baseboards, or utility lines that need attention.
- Habitat modification: Explaining how moisture, clutter, food storage, or natural-fiber materials may be supporting activity.
Our technicians explain what they find, what products are being applied, and where those applications are made. Service reports and technician notes are available through our customer portal for future reference.
